Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-07
This Privacy Policy explains how Anhui Wanxing Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the WX Studio software suite (including the desktop editor, the CorelDRAW / Illustrator plugins, and the WX Studio mobile app for Android/iOS (the "Mobile App"), together the "Software") and the studio.wanxingtech.cc website (the "Website").
We process your information primarily as necessary to perform our contract with you (such as license activation and validation, and optional project cloud backup in the Mobile App) and to comply with legal obligations. Please read this Policy carefully before use. By using the Software or the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy; if you do not agree, please stop using them.
1. Information We Collect
We follow the principle of data minimization and only collect what is necessary:
- Activation data: when you activate or re-validate a license online, we collect your activation key and a device identifier, for license issuance, device binding, and re-validation. On desktop, the device identifier is an irreversible hash computed from hardware characteristics; in the Mobile App, it is an identifier randomly generated on first launch that contains no hardware or personal information and is regenerated after the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
- Security log data: when you call online endpoints such as activation or sign-in, our servers record the source IP address, request time, and processing result, for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security auditing.
- Account data: when you register an account, we collect your email address and an irreversibly hashed password credential (we never store plaintext passwords); your sign-in state is maintained by a strictly necessary session cookie.
- Project cloud backup (optional, Mobile App only): when you are signed in and "Project cloud backup" is on, we sync your project files (vector graphics, text and layout data, and project names) to our servers so you can continue work across devices and keep a backup. Bitmap assets (such as photos and imported images) and thumbnails are not synced by default and remain only on your device. The feature is on by default while you are signed in; you can turn it off at any time in Mobile App Settings. Turning it off stops uploads; after account deletion or when you delete a cloud project, the server copy is removed.
- Crash diagnostics (Mobile App only, sent only with your consent): after the Mobile App crashes, the next launch asks whether to send crash diagnostics, and they are sent only if you explicitly agree; you can review the exact content before sending. They contain the crash summary, stack trace, app version, OS version, and interface language — no artwork content or personal identity — and are not linked to your account.
- Update checks: on startup, the Software may anonymously request a version manifest file to notify you of available updates; this request contains no personal information.
- Mobile App device permissions: the Mobile App asks for system permissions when the corresponding feature is first used — Bluetooth (scanning for and connecting to cutting machines), camera and photo library (capturing or picking images to import onto the canvas), and local network (discovering printers on your LAN). On Android 11 and below, Bluetooth scanning requires the location permission as mandated by the system; we do not collect or store your location because of this. All permissions require your explicit consent, and declining only disables the corresponding feature. Permissions are used solely to provide the feature locally on your device. Photos and imported bitmaps stay on your device and are not uploaded with project cloud backup; project vector data is synced only when cloud backup is on, as described above.
- Website access data: the Website consists of static pages and uses no third-party analytics scripts; our CDN provider (Tencent Cloud) may keep standard access logs (IP, user agent, access time) for security protection.
2. How We Use Information
- Issuing, validating, and managing software licenses (including device binding and unbinding);
- Providing account services (sign-in, password recovery, license management);
- Providing Mobile App project cloud backup and cross-device sync when you enable it;
- Keeping the service secure (abuse prevention, rate limiting, auditing);
- Complying with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
3. Storage and Protection
The above information is stored on servers located in mainland China. We apply transport encryption (HTTPS), hashed password storage, least-privilege access control, and operation auditing. The desktop device identifier is an irreversible hash and cannot be restored to your hardware information; the Mobile App device identifier is randomly generated and contains no information about you.
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes above: activation and license records are kept for the license term and any period required by law; security logs are kept for the period necessary for security operations; after account deletion, associated information (including cloud-backed project files) is deleted or anonymized.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your information to any third party. We only share information when you explicitly consent, when required by laws or regulators, or when our cloud infrastructure and communication providers (such as Tencent Cloud, for server hosting, content delivery, and email delivery) process it within the scope of providing the service.
5. Your Rights
You may access, copy, and correct your account information, and delete your account together with associated data (except where retention is required by law). You can delete your account yourself in the mobile app's Account Center or on the website account page: after confirming with your email and password, deletion takes effect immediately — associated data (including cloud-backed projects) is removed, bound activation keys are unbound from the account (the keys themselves remain valid), and order records are retained anonymously to meet statutory financial record-keeping obligations. You may also continue to request deletion manually via the contact details in the footer; we will respond within 15 business days.
6. Minors
The Software and the Website are intended for professional users in design and cutting production and are not directed at children under the age of 14. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.
7. Updates to This Policy
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted prominently.
